THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL AMERICANS!!
The price of oil has gone WAY over $100 a barrel (as of this day, close to $120) and is rising. The price we are seeing at the pump at $4.00+ is NOT as high as the oil companies will be going. They are making BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of dollars in profits as Americans go broke and lose their businesses and jobs. AND WHERE IS THE OUTCRY? ALL THERE IS IS BITCHING...NO ONE IS OUT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!!!!!
HERE IS WHAT ALL AMERICAN MUST DO TODAY.....TOMORROW WILL BE TOO LATE:!
If you want to lower gas prices.......
Here is what I am calling for: STOP BUYING GAS FROM EXXON/MOBIL....and YOU MUST NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES. Get your gas from one of their competitors. If EVERYONE WHO READS THIS stops buying from EXXON/MOBIL.........they will be forced to lower their prices to compete (LIKE AIRLINE PRICES)....and the rest will follow. IF YOU DON'T...........gas prices go OVER $5.00 a gallon.
Now..........you might ask WHY EXXON/MOBIL.........because they are the biggest, and they are the ones you want to hit.
BUT.......
Here is the part you don't want me to say..........We could save 8 MILLION gallons of gas a day nationally, if every American Driver would just STOP SPEEDING and actually do the speed limit. Going 50 in a 30, or 70 in a 55 WASTES GAS!!!! I know....I know......you wanna get there faster......well.....I hope you will not mind $5.00 A GALLON for your lack of priorities!!!! The American obsession with SPEEDING, is hurting us all.......so.....make a decision......do you want lower prices, or 80 in a 65. If you say you are unwilling to slow down and make the sacrifice..........THEN STOP BITCHING.....it only makes you a hypocrite.
Here are some OTHER tips to save gas............
REDUCE DRIVING! You have to make sacrifices to lower gas prices. Not buying gas
on one day, and then doing it the next doesn’t hurt the oil companies at all!
An example of reducing driving would be CARPOOLING!!!
MAKE SURE YOUR ENGINE AND TIRES ARE IN GOOD CONDITION!! It is amazing how under
inflation of tires and a badly tuned engine can gobble up gas.
DRIVE STEADILY. Slowing down or speeding up wastes fuel.
Don't
"jackrabbit" on a green light. Also avoid
tailgating.
It’s the #1 cause of car crashes in California!! Use the cruise
control during long highway driving to keep your speed steady. It
saves gas.
PLAN TRIPS MORE EFFICIENTLY. Consolidate trips to destinations that are near one
another. Once you arrive, park and walk between destinations. It will also
reduce wear-and-tear on your car.
Turn your air
conditioner off.
It can reduce fuel economy by 10% to 20%.
Avoid prolonged warming up of engine, even on cold mornings - 30 to 45 seconds
is plenty of time.
Don’t start and stop engine needlessly. Idling your engine for one minute
consumes the gas amount equivalent to when you start the engine. However, avoid
long idles. Turn off the engine if you anticipate a lengthy wait.
Buy gasoline during coolest time of day - early morning or late evening is best.
During these times gasoline is densest. Gas pumps measure volumes of gasoline,
not densities of fuel concentration. You are charged according to "volume
of measurement."
NEVER top off the tank. Once it stops at the first click,
do NOT
try to fill it up to the top.
You might end up spilling some.
