Ok.....so ya got pulled over
for a traffic ticket.
Wouldn't it be better
to get off with a warning
than actually get the ticket
and the higher insurance $$$?
I think YES!
So what do you do to help make that
become a reality?
Here are some clues:
DON'T GET OUT OF YOUR CAR!!!
If you get out of your car, you are probably
killing any chance of getting off with a warning.
Why?
You're scaring the crap outta the cop,
and scared cops do NOT let people off with warnings.
You say "ME???
Why would the cop be scared of little ol' me?"
Because they do NOT know who the hell you are,
and because in states like CALIFORNIA,
the routine traffic stop is the
#1 cause of police officer death,
so they MUST figure you to be a danger to them.
And....if you get out of the car,
who is trying to control the situation?
You or the cop?
You!
They do NOT appreciate that.
DON'T BUCKLE IF YOU'RE UNBUCKLED!!!
The officer will believe you are reaching for a weapon.
DON'T UNBUCKLE IF YOU ARE BUCKLED!!!
Unless you want a ticket for not wearing a seat belt.
"Officer, I took it off while I was
waiting for you go get here."
"SURE YOU DID... RIGHT," the officer will say,
"here's your SEAT BELT ticket!!"
IF IT IS NIGHT,
PUT YOUR DOME LIGHT ON
(shows good attitude).
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER
REACH INTO YOUR GLOVE COMPARTMENT
UNLESS YOU ASK PERMISSION TO DO SO!!!
Don't even reach for your drivers license or
registration until you ASK the officer
for permission to do so.
PUT YOUR HANDS ON THE WHEEL!!!
because if you hands are full of wheel,
they ain't full of GUN!
NEVER MAKE A COP COME UP
TO YOUR TINTED WINDOW!!!
In the states where your drivers window is
LEGALLY tinted,
ROLL IT DOWN!
In the states where your drivers window
CANNOT be tinted, but is,
ROLL IT DOWN!!!
BE COURTEOUS...BE PROFESSIONAL!!!
Don't be pissed off
BECAUSE YOU GOT CAUGHT!!!!!!!!!
If you do all these things,
you MAXIMIZE the possibility
of getting off with a warning....
but listen, with some officers
NOTHING you say and NOTHING you do
is gonna get you off with a warning,
but you DON'T know that
until the pen goes to the pad,
so play the game.
